distilleries and tobacco factories, as well as what may be described as detective work in connection with the campaign

against dangerous drugs.

The salary scale I propose is that of Assistant Analysts in the Medical Department, £500 to £800 in ten years.

The post of Monopoly Analyst and Assistant Superintendent of

Imports and Exports at present held by Mr. Taylor carries a

salary at present of £850 x £40 £1050.
